Nairnite Wins Handsdown.
Local Creamery Egg (ie Allan Davidson) from Nairn WINS Round 2 of the Highland MotoX Club Hare n Hounds Championship in convincing style, Allan finished a full 2 laps ahead of his nearest rival, Young Stewart Kelman of Grantown on Spey, who by the way is less than half the age of Allan, shows there’s life in the old dog yet. The main event started of with Jamie George taking a commanding lead from David Vass with Allan in third place, however, Jamie found that after an hour at this pace he was running out of steam, then David retired, leaving Allan to hit the front, where he stayed for the rest of the race, only stopping once to refuel both himself and the bike, then he was off again, still in the lead, well done that man.

The Team Race was very well supported and saw some very stiff competition throughout the day, Barry Hendry and Mike Scott of Kintore lead for most of the race, However, it was a local team in the form of Wallace Burns of Avoch with Team mate Dode Fraser of Nairn that took the lead 2 laps from the end and held that position thru to the finish after recovering from a horrendous start when Wallace‘s bike refused to fire into life at the start. Barry and Mike took 2nd place with the Highland Leisure Team of C Laing and Garry Coward from Invergordon taking 3rd place, one lap down on the leaders.
The Adult Quad race saw David Vass of Tain lead from start to finish on his very trick KTM, followed home by Mark Hadden who had travelled up from Airdrie to finish ahead of young Neil Alexander of Peterhead, all 3 riders finished on 9 laps.
The Schoolperson Quad class saw Blaster beat Raptor as Blair Brown of Powmill by Dunfermline beat the Third brothers from Fraserburgh into 2nd and 3rd places.

As the senior class came round on lap 1 it was Jordan Kerr of Oban with a comfortable lead which he extended over the next 11 laps to take a well deserved Victory. Commiserations go out to early contender Jack Sutherland of Brora who crashed out on lap 7, leaving Mark Farquhar to take 2nd place.
The big wheeled 85cc class saw some very serious racing with Craig Donald of Oban clawing his way thru to the front by lap 2, then clearing of into the distance on the greatly extended Whiteness circuit which was full of various challenges for both young n old alike.
The small wheeled 85cc class saw Daniel Dey of Forres battle his way thru the competition, hitting the front by lap 7 and holding this place to the chequered flag. 2nd place went to Liam McMillan of Alness, only 1 lap down on the winner.
The 65cc class saw the biggest field of riders, all intent on reaching the chequerd flag first, however it was Aidan Campbell of Nairn who hit the front on the 2nd lap, storming away from his fellow competitors, lap after lap, and in doing so, took a well deserved win, only 1 lap down on the 125/250 class. 2nd spot went to Troy Anderson of Thurso finishing just ahead of Owen Hendry of Kintore.
A big thanku to all the volunteers who make these events possible, plus the firstaid, the event Sponsors, Chippies Catering for first class Munchies, Stu @ www.stelkise-imagery.com for the pics.
